Blog Post: Club Fandango Reluctantly Caught Up In A Media Frenzy
27th July 2011

A photo appeared on Monday on the front of certain national and international publications of a bloke who seemed to be playing Angry Birds just metres from poor Mitch Winehouse and his family as they visited Camden Square.

I admit the bloke did look a bit like me and I was passing at the time, but some of the accusations being flung my way are simply scurrilous. I’ve had at least 4 texts and 2 emails on the subject. It’s not much fun being at the centre of a media hurricane like this. Someone even suggested it was a promo opportunity missed and I should have worn my Club Fandango t-shirt! Not only would that be sick but we don’t have any Club Fandango t-shirts.

Talking of media hurricanes, look out for various Fandango types reviewing singles on the amazing Amazing Radio and Recharged Radio on 19th August. And talking of Amazing Radio, they have new monthly night starting at The Bull & Gate in September as part of Fandango’s tenth birthday celebrations. You can read all about it here. And talking of Fandango’s 10th birthday, maybe it’s time we got some nice Fandango t-shirts printed up to celebrate - we got a great new logo after all - would stand out good I reckon. Then if any more stalking… er… I mean promo opportunities arise we would be suitably attired…

Here's what's coming up at the Bull & Gate, Buffalo Bar and The Macbeth.

See you down the middle etc,

Andy Pointy
