Andy Oliver is a combination of Andy Oliver and Jim Ellel. Andy arrived to music late after several years of acting. Although music has always played a huge part in his life, he only seriously began writing after quitting drinking. His songs are very much inspired by his journey through addiction and the support of people around him. Jim has been playing since the age of 15 and has written and performed in bands such as The Wire Monkeys and The Rising. His songs have roots in both indie and folk and are driven by acoustic riffs and melancholic melodies. Together their styles combine to give a story board of booze-filled woe, death and a smattering of love. Influenced by artists such as Bob Dylan , Tom Waits, R.E.M., Ray Lamontagne and Simon & Garfunkel to name but a few, they hope to take you on a lyrical adventure.
