Club The Moon launches next Wednesday (and then on the last Wednesday of every month). It's a brand-spanking new live series showcasing the most up-and-coming bands, brought to you by one of the UK’s best new music sites/record labels, Killing Moon Limited, teaming up with one of the UK’s best independent promoters... (that's us).

The ethos behind Club The Moon is simple:

"The best bands that are featured on the Killing Moon Limited site or that we otherwise just feel deserve to be seen and heard are showcased to the London masses in the famous Bull & Gate venue in Kentish Town; this can range from the most buzzy and brand new acts cruising along the blogosphere, to some very special and far more established live performances in an intimate setting that won’t cost punters an arm and a leg to see.

The shows also serve as a platform for The Killing Moon Sessions; an online video series documenting the production of the shows and capturing key live performances of the bands performing.

Run with a fiercely independent and a DIY-ethic with music fans in mind, Club The Moon promises to be so much more than just another blog-branded club night."

WHITEMARE - 10.15PM
www.facebook.com/whitemareuk
"A right royal blasting is in order here courtesy of Brighton boys Whitemare, who feature ex-members of Architects and Johnny Truant in the ranks. Redefining Brighton Rock, ‘Whitemare’ is a thoroughbred of filth. Nice." ROCKSOUND MAGAZINE 8/10

HOLD KISS KILL - 09.30PM
www.myspace.com/holdkisskill
are a London-based alternative noise pop band taking influence from A Place To Bury Strangers, Sonic Youth, The Jesus & Mary Chain and My Bloody Valentine to name but a few. Their first two singles 'Our Last Waltz' and 'Neon Girls/Death Pleasures' were released on HLP19 Records and distributed exclusively through Rough Trade. The former of which was released on flexi disc (the first British act to do so in ten years), mounted on the cover of Artrocker Magazine as a free gift and given away to their readers earlier in the year. The issue also featured a double page spread on the band. This year has seen some high profile shows and festival appearences such as the main stage at this years 1-2-3-4 Festival supporting The Raveonettes and Black Lips, as well as the Corsica Studios 'Raw Power' festival.

TYRANNOSAURUS DEAD - 08.45PM
www.facebook.com/tyrannosaurusdead
A 4 piece alternative act from Brighton/London. Forming in 2010 they have already built an admirable local fanbase. Pulling their influences from the pre-grunge guitar rock of Dinosaur Jr, showing a reimagining of 90s indie and shoegaze with obvious credits to the Jesus and Mary Chain & Sonic Youth. Expect a range of delightful fuzz and a clear understanding of the importance of vocal melody.

TRIM THE BARBER - 08.00PM
www.trimthebarber.com "Always Delayed" was Killing Moon's track of the day in July. You can stream it here.
