VLMV (onstage 9.45pm) are ostensibly ALMA (the band) flipped upside down and perhaps now therefore pronounced Ul-muh, although the same old ‘Al-mah’ would suffice. A couple of years back this most ambient of post-rock duos released the ‘ALMA’ album, now they are preparing for the follow-up ‘Stranded Not Lost’, which will be out in January 2018. Tonight is the launch show for comeback single ‘All These Ghosts’, released on fierce panda on November 24th. www.VLMV.co.uk
KRIEF (onstage 9.00pm) aka Patrick Krief, is former guitarist in Canadian indiedreamers The Dears. He is now a solo artiste with a rich palette of musical soundscapes, many of which appear on the gigantic ‘Automanic’ album which itself appears on fierce panda on November 17th.
