Oh my rampant puddings it's...Day Three of PANDAMONIUM '15!!!
Flags and sporty supporting cast have a blast at the Old Blue Last on Friday January 9th!!!

It's become as traditional as regretful cardigans, revengeful relatives and the general sad-faced stout-bellied post-Christmas fudge. Never fear, Pandamonium '15 is soon here, with fierce panda records and Club Fandango and Disorder Promotions and some cheeky friends uniting forces to shine some light on the New Year gigging scene, as they have been doing since making some calendar space in 1999. The venues are small and cool. The bands are cool and small. The nights are young, the mood is mellow and there is music in our ears. Day Three of Pandamonium '15 is a night of serious alt.pop sounds with an epic emotional edge, rather like this…

FLAGS (onstage 10.30pm) are four men from Bristol who peddle a cool and studied brand of piano-dappled alternative electropoppings. Their ‘Oil And Sparks’ tune mines a particularly sumptuous seam of commercially savvy moroseness with a lovely windswept denouement.

THE ART OF AMPUTATION (onstage 9.45pm) create eloquent, elegant musical canvases which share an ear for shades and textures with the languidly reckless likes of The National, Wild Beasts and the mighty Walkmen, as evinced by their current excellently-named ‘Distorted Pop Song’ single.

Special Guests LONGFELLOW (onstage 9.00pm) South London’s finest exporters of quality alt.pop melodies sneak in for a cheeky top secret slot tonight ahead of their brand new single release and their imminent Borderline headline show. The ‘Medic’ single is out on Monday January 12th, while the Borderline headline is Thursday February 26th.

ZULU PEARLS (onstage 8.15pm) As you may expect from a band who list their home towns as Berlin AND Washington DC Zulu Pearls similarly list their influences as: “DIY, ‘60s, ‘70s, Hi-8, Hip-Hop, Super-8, drinks, drugs, etcetera.” Throw in a soupcon of ever-so-subtle blue collar rock action and y’all have yourselves a combo releasing their ‘Deluxe’ EP on Label Fandango on January 5th.
