THE 1930s - 10.15pm
The folk duo comprising of Andrew Cameron and Jonny Solari from Belfast, Northern Ireland. Their songs have folky hooks, infectious melodies and meaningful lyrics. Now with their Autumn UK wide tour being announced for October to coincide with a new EP release, an appearance on the BBC in the bag and new material being written, it’s exciting times for the two lads! www.the1930s.co.uk

DAN SHEARS & THE VELVETEEN ORKESTRA - 09.30PM
Dan is proving himself to be one of London’s more interesting and captivating artists. Beautiful, flowing vocal melodies, with lyrics that bring to mind carnivalesque lullabies written by a much older soul, cascade over delicate and intricate guitar work and songs so immersed in passion and pathos that they’re sure to haunt the memory long after the first listen. With an incredibly wide vocal range and a gorgeous poetic quality, he has a sharp wit and cockney charm and a voice that evokes memories of artists as diverse as Nick Cave, Morrissey, Frankie Valli and Ray Davies amongst others. A new EP entitled ‘Against A Sea of Troubles,’ is set for release on 24 September through Dan’s own label, Strawbychka Recordings.

RICHARD FENWICK - 08.00PM
Hailing from Lincoln, England, Richard Stephen Fenwick (born 30th March 1984) is a guitarist and songwriter with a passion for honest lyrics and delicate musical arrangements. Spending the majority of his 20s playing bass in Sheffield based Rotary Ten led to the release of two albums “These Are Our Hands” (2008) and “Cover Me In Leaves” (2010), as well as tours of the UK and a rather cynical view of the music industry. With Rotary Ten on indefinite hiatus, a combination of genuine passion for music and too much spare time led to the recording of his first solo EP “Cast Shadows”, followed by a return to live performance, albeit alone for the first time. All of Richard’s solo work is self-financed and is effectively an exercise in trying to make a difference for himself and anyone with the time and inclination to listen.
