Tapestry Moves To The Bull And Gate!!!
30th June 2011
Artist Profile »

We are very excited and thrilled and overjoyed etc. to announce that Tapestry is moving to the Bull & Gate.

To the uninitiated, Tapestry has, for 10 years on the last Friday of each month, championed some of the coolest bands under a church in Euston, from Field Music to The Magic Numbers, Chromehoof to The Wave Pictures, and from Kitty Daisy and Lewis to Jeffery Lewis. They have also, on occasion, run a festival which goes medieval on your ass or takes you way out west, depending....

All walks of life attend Tapestry; No pretensions, no egos, no demographic, no logos. What it does have is a lovely vibe, 2 fantastic bands and the best disco in town (which will run until the new later time of 1am at the Bull and Gate). The Tapestry DJ's suffer from immaculate music taste so expect tunes from artists you wished had been part of your life years ago... It's not too late.

Headlining the opening night is seminal psychedelic-indie godfathers 14 Iced Bears who, in lead singer Rob Sekula's words, have "reformed after 19 years floating on an iceberg."

Enjoying a renaissance in the USA, and recent supports with Pains Of Being Pure At Heart, The Bears will take stage around 10pm with support from Dear Thief around 9pm.

Tapestry will start on the last Friday of each month from July, take a quick break in August and then carry on from September, unless July is rubbish, which it won't be...

For more info / tickets head HERE. Imagine Glen Campbell, David Lynch, Dolly Parton, Todd Rundgren, Scott Walker, Elvis, The Cohen Brothers and The Mighty Boosh all get together and decide to run a club. It's a bit like that... kind of.
