NEWS February's Bmi Sessions Announced

Hot off the heels of the launch of the BMI Sessions last month, BMI has announced the next set of unsigned acts causing a stir on the music radar, all set to play at the 229 on Great Portland Street on 13 February.

The acts stepping up for February‚Äö?Ñ?¥s BMI Sessions in association with Club Fandango, are hotly tipped The Raid, who are currently being championed by XFM‚Äö?Ñ?¥s John Kennedy, a name to watch out for in 2008. Grace Emilys will be bringing forth their brand of experimental guitar pop. The Brighton-based Hold Fire may seem like a familiar name to some due to their early tracks gaining radio exposure from Steve Lamacq, and are currently working with David Eringa (Manic Street Preachers and Idlewild) and, finally, the atmospheric folky soundscapes of Jacob Fletcher add to the diverse blend on the night.
