** CLUB FANDANGO & FIERCE PANDA SAY GOODBYE TO THE BUFFALO BAR **
** LES CARTER USM'S ABDOUJAPAROV HEADLINE XMAS SPECIAL ON DEC 16TH **

So in April b> ABDOUJAPAROV helped Club Fandango bid farewell to the Bull & Gate in Kentish Town. Barely 19 months Les Carter's punk rock rockers and the Club Fandango clubbers are reunited in similarly sad-hearted circumstances at the Buffalo Bar as, impassioned petitions notwithstanding, the dear old lowslung basement venue on Highbury Corner is set to close on New Year's Eve. December 16th is the last designated Tuesday night hoedown of Club Fandango's long-running weekly shows there, and for its Christmas party on that very date they have teamed up with North London neighbours fierce panda and Disorder for this gig here...

ABDOUJAPAROV
is the long-running punk rock project of Les aka Fruitbat from Carter USM, who themselves recently said their final farewells with a brace of sold out shows at Brixton Academy and Shepherds Bush Empire. Over the course of three albums, including 2014's 'Seaside Arcade Bingo Patrol', they have thoroughly mastered the art of making music which is "raucous, fast and sometimes a bit country," featuring lyrics which are "rude, tender, funny and frequently a little unwell."

PIANO WIRE (onstage 9.30pm) have previous with Club Fandango, as Andy Huxley and Sym Gharial from the band were once in Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster, whose very first London show was with us at the Dublin Castle. Fast forward A Long Time, and according to drownedinsound Piano Wire are now “conjuring up a veritable shitstorm that sounds like it was formed in Minnesota three decades ago via Seattle 10 years later…”

TISSUE CULTURE are from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne via Goldsmiths College down south. They have songs with titles like 'Bleak Northern Beaches' and 'Santa, Mate, It's November?' and describe themselves as purveyors of "designedly shabby indie rock". Can't beat that, really.

DAVID BLACKBOURNE makes raw, passionate, weird and uniquely wordy acoustic music. The aim is to make you feel something, to connect, to share joy and pain, to highlight the illogical and the strange. His influences are a mess: from Aimee Mann to Aesop Rock, Kings Of Leon to Frank Ocean. Comparisons to Jeff Buckley, Paulo Nutini and Tom Waits have been made. And feedback at his shows ranges from positive tears of joy to negative physical sickness - take from that what you will.
