* CLUBS + DAISY VICTORIA ANNOUNCED AS SUPPORTING ACTETTES *

South London's finest exponents of muscular, melodic alt.pop LONGFELLOW are putting the seal on a terrific year by playing the Lexington in London Town on Thursday November 6th, with esteemed support from Clubs + Daisy Victoria. This is Longfellow’s final headline show in the capital until 2015, and will see them launch an EP of completely new material which is due out in January as well as play the indie smashes from their perfectly formed ‘Prelude’ mini-album. It follows a wee Autumnal jaunt to New York City for CMJ, and it looks like this:

INDIE DISCO AFTERSHOW PARTY UPSTAIRS @ THE LEXINGTON 11PM-3AM - FREE ENTRY WITH TICKET

LONGFELLOW (onstage 10.00pm) started the year at this very same venue opening up for Honours at the Breakout night, and were back in September supporting Broken Records. Now comes their time to shine in their own Lexington headline slot on the back of a 2014 which has seen two trips to the USA as well as the release of a brace of thoroughly epic singles, 'Siamese Lover' and 'Kiss-Hug-Make Up', and a cheerily tearful mini-album called 'Prelude' (fierce panda). Not bad for what is still ostensibly an unsigned band, but such is multi-tasking indie crossover life with Longfellow, quite possibly the first group in the history of history to play Camden Crawl AND tour with Hall & Oates. Real music 4 real people ahoy oi…

CLUBS (onstage 9.15pm) are an enigmatic combo from Leicester. What we do now is that they recently supported Happyness at their hometown Cookie venue and that their expansive ‘Bleed’ song starts with 90 seconds of thoroughly abstract croakiness before transmogrifying into a feverishly upbeat indiedance hoedown. Go hear that ‘Bleed’ track at www.soundcloud.com/clubsxoxc

DAISY VICTORIA (onstage 8.30pm) "If PJ Harvey and Kate Bush defied science and procreated, Daisy would be their love child," say London In Stereo. Actually - and slightly more prosaically - the offspring of a former cyclist and a hairdresser, Daisy Victoria has been described by Lauren Laverne as "a rising star" and is set to release her second EP 'Nobody Dies' on November 3rd. Musically she finds inspiration in church bells, the noise of power lines in the rain and the sounds nature makes.
