Washington Irving
Washington Irving are indie-folk-pop group from the city of Glasgow in Scotland who take "influence from the likes of Arcade Fire, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, and Neutral Milk Hotel, their experimentations with the genre have led to the creation of a powerful and uplifting sound; frenzied instrumentation serving as a raw and inspired backdrop to beguiling hooks, raucous gang chants, and vocalist Joe Black's cracking growl and poetic lyrics. The songs themselves tell stories of love, death and madness, in an invigoratingly anthemic manner."

'Holy Company' (their new single which is released on 4th Feb) was produced and mixed by Marcus Mackay at the Diving Bell Studios in Glasgow, who has worked with the band on 2 previous releases, as well as Frightened Rabbit, Alastair Roberts, and Sparrow and the Workshop. It was mastered by Grammy-nominated Mandy Parnell at Black Saloon Studios in London.
