The Blackbirds
The Blackbirds are a two-piece band based in Sheffield. Taking the sounds of America and forging it with the sex and soul of the steel city they have created a sound unlike many of their contemporaries. Raw guitar and pounding beats give a modern twist to the blues. The band have enjoyed a successful period since their explosion onto the scene at the Tramlines music festival. They have gone on to mesmerise audiences, received airplay on both local and national radio from the BBC and Absolute Radio and enjoyed several dates with The Wilko Johnson Band. The culmination of this success being the release of the debut single 'Keep The Lights Turned On'.
