Small Horses
Small Horses see double bass, guitar and drums deliver a tremeloed, folk picking, foot stomping soundscape, rattling along like a rickety cart on a mountainside, over which frontman Conor Fahy spends his words like a sailor, on songs that are as bright and heavy as doubloons. This darkly comic, film noirish, out-of-focus, revelatory band are the distillation of dead irish writers, pulp fiction, early rock n' roll and many other things, sometimes as fine whiskey, sometimes as raw spirit.
