The Smokestax
The Smokestax formed from the split of South London mod/rock band Shelta in December 2010. Entering the rehearsal studio in January to work on a new batch of songs, they are now ready to hit the live circuit once again. Drawing from influences from '60s R&B, Stax soul and all the great British invasion groups of that era to create a sound that is somehow unique in todays guitar scene.
