Richard Warren played in '90s Heavenly band The Hybirds, recorded solo for Mute as Echoboy, played in Spiritualized, and with Mark Lanegan and The Soulsavers. After numerous other projects he released the unacknowledged masterpiece 'Laments' in 2010; it’s an album imbued with a Jim Dickinson/Memphis vibe and tapping the wellspring of cosmic American music. “He has a genuine belief in the redemptive power of rock music,taking in gospel, protest folk and country soul.
