Sleepy Age
Sleepy Age is a three-piece indie-disco band from Christchurch, New Zealand founded by Josh Burgess and Josh Black. They began by fleshing out the demos Burgess had written while away from home touring with Bang Bang Eche in 2008/9. Sleepy Age's first success came through winning RDU‚Äôs 2009 Round Up competition at the tender age of five weeks. This was followed by numerous tours of the country throughout 2010, a healthy amount of free online releases and sharing stages with both national and international acts including The Cribs and Grant Hart of H?ºsker D?º. They found a common thread in their work, which combines their love for all things pop, disco and post-punk. 2011 also see‚Äôs the band release a second EP on New Zealand label Gold Sounds.
