Miss Stewart a New York based singer/songwriter is releasing her debut single 'Perfervid', with an accompanying video directed by Thomas Smith. The track, a blues-influenced soulful and seductive sirens' call is her first to be commercially released, and marks the start of a maiden UK tour which includes performances in February 2011. Alana's writing aims to deliver a combination of expressive and honest lyrics, and touching guitar-based melodies influenced by her background growing up in the American deep south. A hot prospect for acoustic music in 2011, she was discovered while playing and singing in the New York Subway, where she would perform several times a week in a way she describes as "a great way to connect with strangers in surprising ways."
