'Lush, beautifully composed dream pop... reminiscent of Beach House, Galaxie 500, or perhaps even early Wild Nothing.' - CLASH

‘Delightfully breezy and laid-back with an undeniably catchy melody'NME

Having recently released two stunning singles in ‘Turtle Bay’ and ‘A Sadder Sound’, Surrey-based indie dream-pop outfit Softer Still release their debut album 'Nuances', coming via Label Fandango. Having been compared to the likes of Wild Nothing, Beach House and Galaxie 500, the four-piece have continued to live up to their lofty peers with their first full length body of work.

‘Nuances’ continues the band’s ascent, cementing their brand of superior, polished and vulnerable dream pop as one that will be turning heads as 2018 draws to a close. With the likes of Earmilk and Clash Magazine supporting the band in the buildup to this release, ‘Nuances’ comes packed with full of influences ranging from progressive rock and metal to 80’s and 90’s guitar music.

Speaking on the influences of the band Ollie (Drums, Synths) describes “I have always had a huge soft spot for any well written pop song, regardless of genre. All of these things have hugely influenced the way I approach producing and composing music. We love music that is instantly relatable and catchy, something I think is apparent listening to the music we make”

Having been personally invited to support legendary American shoegazers DIIV on their recent UK Tour, Softer Still embark on their own UK headline tour in November (full dates can be found below). With a timeless, classic shoegaze sound all their own, 2018 is looking like bringing even more column inches for a band that’s already being co-signed by some of the genres’ biggest stars.
