Daddy Long Legs are 3 young men who make a joyous blaring racket with chords borrowed from pinback, weezer and burt bacharach; and lyrics
dealing with the mundane minutiae of everyday life as a metaphor for
bigger themes of love, loss and laundry. Their clangourous,
skronk-and-shout filled live shows have become a big draw on the North
London live scene causing reviewers to draw comparisons to 10cc, the
jam and beefheart. Daddy Long Legs continue to crash along in their
own unique direction and have been filling venues such as the Garage
and ISH since they tumbled riffing and harmonising out of Islington in
late 2003.
