Charlie Says
Charlie Says formed by Ben Fisher and Charlie Beddoes in Dec '02 as the entertainment wing of the Finsbury Park Popular Front(!). The following year, in-between writing songs for the Charlie Says, they both toured Martin Grech playing guitar and bass in his live band, as well as lending their talents to Emiliana Torrini and Trash Palace. Charlie Says have since recruited drummers James Duncan (studio) and Ben Savigear (live and studio), Gav Harry on live guitar and backing divas Lian and Kim. An album is in the works. They combine sound-byte sloganeering with punky funky riffs to free your ass and stimulate your neural pathways.
