Conil was included in Heat Magazine’s Hot New Artists of 2010. He has garnered critical acclaim from the blogosphere, a 4 star ‘Q Recommends’ review from Q Magazine.
Inspired by wandering through the city at night, his latest album, The Strange Part Of The Country, documents Conil’s trail through the urban underbelly.
Production of the singles and mixing of the album was done by multi Grammy winner Tchad Blake – the man behind a number of Black Keys and Tom Waits records - at the LA producer’s country hideout, creating a rustic, blues-fueled sound, dripping in Americana.
