The Megaphonic Thrift
The Megaphonic Thrift are three men and one girl bass player from Norway. Rather happily they are headlining the second launch party for fierce panda’s brrrrand new ‘Licensed To Drill’ compilation EP. May 27th saw the likes of White Belt Yellow Tag + Mabel Love bomb the Lexington, in a sonic pop way, and tonight sees another three of the ‘Licensed…’ bands join frazzled forces prior to the EP launch on June 14th. Top of the pile sits The Megaphonic Thrift, who’ve just toured with A Place To Bury Strangers and for whom The Megasonic Thrust might be a more appropriate name, such is the quartet’s knee-crunching way with a tortured Telecaster. On stage they play their first song like it’s their last and their last song like it’s the end of the world. On record they will be re-releasing the ‘A Thousand Years Of Deconstruction’ album on August 2nd
