Jo Gillot
Jo Gillot Last year, Jo's first demo was picked out by Steve Lamacq for his Radio2 'Introducing' show, regarding her as 'an astonishing new voice', and she was invited to the BBC for an interview and to record a live version of her most popular song to date, 'Bit of Zen'. Jo's lyrics are honest and touching, whilst the guitarwork is fast and intricate, resulting in a quirky, home-grown sound. Her influences include Fionn Regan, Johnny Flynn and Broadcast 2000. A unique blend of folk/pop, which lingers long in the memory.
