The Dead Orchestra
The Dead Orchestra is a four-piece group hailing from deepest Bronte country in West Yorkshire. The group formed in 2008 and is made up of brothers Tom O’Keefe (vocals/guitars), Jim O’Keefe (drums), Ryan Wilby (bass) and Matt Schofield (keyboards and string arrangements).
The Dead Orchestra share a passion for epic British literature and music, citing Elbow, Radiohead, Talk Talk, Massive Attack and Spiritualized as key influences. The band is also heavily influenced by Motown - specifically Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and The Funk Brothers. They also have a deep respect for the songwriting and soothsaying of Bill Withers.
