Kakkmaddafakka
Kakkmaddafakka are the latest young band to emerge from Norway's musically productive city of Bergen, which has previously produced successful bands such as Royksopp, Datarock, Casiokids and Kings Of Convenience. The band was formed by highschool friends to play a one-off party, but their unusual sound (described by Clash Magazine as 'Gansta-Broadway-Disco') and their unbelievable high energy live show was an instant hit with the crowd, and by popular demand, they kept playing. Now five years later their live show is legendary in Norway, and has been seen on many international festival stages such as CMJ, NXNE, Montruex Jazz Festival, Melt! and this years Iceland Airwaves. KAKKMADDAFAKKA are a favourite of the whitest boy alive, Erlend ?òye, and are in the UK for the first time on his invitation to play at the Kings Of Convenience afterparty, before heading off to Iceland. This will be their first proper UK show.
