Um is an experimental entertainer on quest for the most extreme forms of subtlety via the lost art of singing over tapes. His music has been described as the musical lovechild of Ray Davies and Genesis P Orridge‚Äö?Ñ????ë??. He produces amateurish free-association lo-fi sound-collages using various sound-making devices which become the backing tapes for array of sad and funny songs that sound like they've broken on the way to the speakers. In the same way that Bushmen hunters mimic the movements of their prey as they walk in their footsteps, UM feeds on the audience's collective urge to be entertained by something new.
