The Fire Escapes
The Fire Escapes bring velocity and variation to the teenage nation, from otherworldly melodic pop to noisy guitar squalls all topped off with ice-cool honey-through-velvet girl vocals. Songs about Crocodiles & Congladiators will illuminate their debut headlining slot at Club Fandango's 8th birthday bash. The band members hail from the North-East and North-West of England by way of Japan, the Isle Of Man and Ireland. "What I liked most about the band is that girl's voice is a mixture of Hope Sandoval (Mazzy Star), Tanya Donelly (Belly & Throwing Muses) and Isabel Monteiro (Drugstore). Listen to 'Street of Crocodiles' and 'Helicopter Blues' to feel the climate.
