Butterfly Bangs play rock and roll music. 'Our first two home-made demos ('Catch/Explode' and 'Summer Shadows on the Wall') were played by BBC Radio 1 and XFM respectively. On the strength of these songs we were approached and subsequently represented by Nicky Stein at Clintons Law firm in Covent Garden. And London indie label Weekender records in the past year have released our first two official singles on 7" vinyl and download ('On The Street' and 'Junk Sky'). We are currently playlisted by Tom Robinson on BBC 6music and Gary Crowley on BBC Radio London has this week played one of our brand new songs and made us a 'London Calling Ones To Watch' band, following in the footsteps of acts like Adele, Joe Lean, Scouting for Girls and Cajun Dance Party. Also, John Kennedy will play another of our brand new songs 'Portrait of a Young Man Drowning' on his XFM show when he gets back from holiday in a couple of weeks. We've toured Europe twice, done the reeperbahn festival in hamburg and le showcase in Paris.'
