Rupert & The Robbers are a four-piece from Hereford. With less than 20 gigs under their belt, they have already been privileged enough to support some big names, including The Subways, The Young Knives and Pete and the Pirates to name a few. They recently did their first London gig to a great reception at the Roundhouse studios in Camden. Their unique blend of folk and indie has attracted them a lot of attention with Easy Tiger records being one of many indie labels interested in doing the band’s first release. The debut single ‘Bad Hour’ will be released on limited edition 7” and download at the end of August, with the band set to tour the UK in support of the release. Rupert and the Robbers will be appearing at a few regional festivals in July, and as part of the tour in August. They also have a few BBC live radio sessions lined up. Whilst it is still early days for them, things are moving very quickly with people from all areas of the industry keeping tabs on where this new band will go next.
