Swound!
Swound! formed at the end of 2005 from the ashes of a number of popular Nottingham University bands. Having no intentions other than giving themselves an outlet from the monotony of post-student life, they recorded a demo at a local studio which found its way into the hands of Radio 1 DJs. The impressive airplay for their song 'What's Your Poison?' and overwhelming response that this received quickly saw Swound! tipped as 'ones to watch' by Radio 1 DJs Rob Da Bank, Steve Lamacq, Huw Stephens and Zane Lowe. Due to popular demand, they were immediately invited to perform a session for Rob Da Bank at the prestigious Maida Vale studios. In the meantime, Swound! were being asked to play with bands such as Kasabian, The Crimea, Hard Fi, Madness, etc and making a name for themselves across the country as an energetic, exciting and entertaining live band. A year on and Swound! have altered their line up and spent time writing and practising a set of new songs. As a result, they have finally found themselves in a position to take advantage of the praise and hype that has been heaped upon them.
