Lead Balloons are a 4-piece combo based in Salford, who make raucous, melodic pop with the raw materials they had in front of them. They've launched a blitzkrieg attack on the Manchester music scene with gigs at Akoustik Anarkhy and Blowout and support slots for David Dondero, Viva Voce and Liam Frost And The Slowdown Family. They rocked London's Adventures Close To Home. They even rocked Shrewsbury. And then they holed themselves up with George Atkins, producer of Keith's 'The Red Thread', to record live favourite 'No Friend Of Mine'.
