The Michelles began when 2 boys from America and Sweden ran away from hearth & home with 2 broken guitars and a dream. A dream about the happenings of London, hopes arising from all the UK music that had inspired them. They slept in the airports and night buses, searching the mucisians ads on Denmark Street and in the NME by day, before meeting on a hot summer's evening at Kings Cross Station. During the struggle out of the city's mire, to find their sound amongst the many substandard, dreggy bands of London, they found ourselves surviving only on the true belief in their music: our only reason for being here, and the only thing we can hold on to. Their melodies and harmonies tend to hide something darker, listen carefully children to an innocence tainted. Sweet with a touch of evil.
