The Maple State
The Maple State are an alt.emo band from Manchester. After gaining interest from several record labels both from the UK and US on the strength of their first 3 track demo, the band agreed to release their debut EP on Punktastic Recordings. In the summer of 2006 the band went into the studio with producer Andy Gill (Gang of Four) to record several new songs, one of which entitled Joanna is set for release on the Manchester based indie label High Voltage Sounds in early 2007. In January, the band were invited to open up on the UK leg of (+44)'s European Tour in February.
