Tim Pare
Tim Pare left his long-term relationship, quit his job, sold his house and moved to China in 2004. Here he grabbed a fresh outlook on things and decided to have a crack at the music industry on his return. He travelled back on the Trans-Siberian Express and, during the 190 hour journey, frequently holed up to avoid the many drunken soldiers, he penned the songs he now plays. Emotional and uplifting, without ever indulging in trite sentimentality, Tim Pare writes bittersweet, confessional love songs. Without self-consciousness, he weaves seamless stories between words and melodies.
