A perfect triangle of a night whereby the labels provide the bands and the
DJ's, 7 Digital provide the label-specific online push and Club Fandango
provides the crackers!
“Summer in the city and the air is still…” so sang Roddy Frame back in the last century. And he should know – as main man in the lovingly pop-tastic Aztec Camera Mr Frame’s early career fell under the auspices of Postcard and Rough Trade Records, two of the finest exponents of leftfield perambulations in the history of independent labels, way back when a youthful alternative sector was busy injecting the music industry with a dose of inventiveness, wit, enthusiasm and musical expertise.
Nigh on three decades later we stand on the very cusp of summer in the city of London and Club Fandango and 7digital.com have joined forces to present a series of shows in the West End with some of the acest, raciest indie labels around.
The plot is bionically simple: throughout the sunshine period Club Fandango and 7digital.com will put on monthly Labelled With Love nights at the Borderline in conjunction with the witty, inventive and enthusiastic likes of Memphis Industries, Stolen Recordings and Moshi Moshi.
