The Spazzys formed after leaving school in Melbourne, Australia. After making a democratic decision as to who would play what, the girls set about figuring how to play their instruments by listening to their favourite bands (Ramones, Radio Birdman, The Ronettes, Jan & Dean and The Beach Boys). Getting gigs wasn't the problem, however sneaking out of the house and not getting caught by their parents was, as their oldies didn't know they re in a band! Their brash, energetic overdose of three chord power chaos and sweeter than thou harmonies that has seen them become one of the country's best loved bands. They opened for Blondie, the Buzzcocks, Marky Ramone, before embarking on their own national headline tour. They conquered the summer festival circuit playing to massive crowds at the Big Days Out, Falls Festival and Homebake all the while collecting The Hives and The Donnas (amongst others) as fans and on-lookers at their shows. The Spazzys are the real deal. Accept no imitations!
