Kingsley Chapman And The Murder
Kingsley Chapman And The Murder As frontman and creator of northern English artrock band The Chapman Family, Kingsley flirted continuously between success and failure for a number of years before finally calling time on the group in the summer of 2013. His new band The Murder take their primary references from the mythology of iconic rock and art. They are a dizzying mix of thundering Viking warrior drums, sparkling avant garde pianos, ominous romantic strings and barbed wire guitars all underpinned by Kingsley's savage croon. Their debut single "Lovers" was released in July 2015 on the Too Pure label. It was championed by Steve Lamacq on BBC6 where it won Rebel Playlist and has also been played extensively on XFM and Amazing Radio. Praise for Kingsley Chapman and The Murder : "...phenomenal..."
