Tim Poland became disillusioned with the mundane guitar music that was being churned out during their teen-band years back in those days of 'Britpop', and decided to call it a day. Many years later, with mundane guitar music coming back into fashion, Tim Poland thought that they ought to strive to give people something a little different. They are something of a mix between a guitar band (they like The Smiths) and an electronic outfit (they like Bjork). Aiming for a middle way between the inaccessible avant-garde and the banal, their songs are built around well-crafted chord progressions, blended with noises, bleeps and electronic treatment, the end result being something (they like to think) a little bit original. After spending 9 months writing and honing skills, Tim Poland made their debut performance in May 2004. Since then they‚Äö?Ñ????ë?¬•ve been gigging frequently in and around London, and have developed an incredibly powerful live performance.
