Protobaby
Protobaby have after an extensively touring decided the time was right to record an album. In August 2011 Protobaby entered the studio with Owen Lewis who has worked with REM, Hole, Snow Patrol, Paulo Nutini to record their debut album. Owen along with Protobaby guitarist Tony Monahan and Richard Dowling of Wav Mastering produced the album. The album was again mixed with additional production by Chris O’Brien and Graham Murphy at The Production Suite, Dublin. The second single/video Traditions was released on November 18th 2011 with a number of nationwide dates in support. The video to Traditions caused a fuss in local and national media as it was banned by Youtube for breaking its rules on nudity and sexual content, harsh though this ban may seem the video can now be found on Vimeo. Traditions again received extensive national and regional airplay, which led to a live appearance on The Paul McLoone Show on Today FM. The third single/video Fluorescent will be released on March 9th to precede the release of the debut album The Spark on March 23rd 2012. The Spark will feature previous singles State Of Affairs and Traditions.
