Captain Backfire AKA Rob Gilbert fuses acoustic guitars with rumbling synths and sugary melodies wrapped up by sharp lyrics in a "dirty pop" package somewhere between Ed Sheeran and Enter Shikari. The newly formed "Receptive Management" (Jim Lawn and Alan McGee) are currently promoting his debut EP set for release at the end of this month.
