The Youth Anxiety
The Youth Anxiety are a Manchester band ready to soundtrack 2012 as it deserves to be – with intrigue, character and just a little claustrophobic, think Biffy Clyro, Radiohead and The Smiths. The four-piece have their first single 'Night Terrors' coming out in early June and a self titled EP under their belts – having played at the EuroCultured festival in addition to supporting The Twilight Sad, Peace, Folks and Everything Everything, The Youth Anxiety’s cauterising angst-rock is like a punk-rock Molotov cocktail designed to incinerate Manchester music’s current wave of arch pop experimentalists and po-faced lo-fi indie bands.
