Kate Jackson
Kate Jackson returns three years since The Long Blondes parted ways and left a gaping hole in the British indie scene. Following The Long Blondes split in 2008, Kate began work on a collection of songs with former Suede guitarist and producer Bernard Butler. Working from mutual influences such as Brian Eno, David Bowie, Patti Smith and Roxy Music as well as the distinctive guitar sounds of Neil Young and Mick Ronson and the lyrical narratives of '60s country pop acts like Bobbie Gentry, Jackson and Butler came up with a sound which fuses indie pop and glam with elements of country and '70s rock. In 2010, after signing to EMI publishing, Jackson began working with other writers including former Adam & The Ants legend Marco Pirroni and the pop producer Eliot James, extending her repertoire of songs in preparation for her debut solo album.

2011 has seen Kate return to the live music scene with her own live band Kate Jackson Group. She has also performed alongside Sheffield greats Martyn Ware and Glenn Gregory as part of the resurgent B.E.F and with Marco Pirroni and Chris Constantinou's new band, The Wolfmen. Her debut single, the double A sided 'Wonder Feeling'/'The Atlantic' is out now.
