One Happy Island via a string of coveted, hand-made limited edition EPs (WeePop!) Boston (MA, USA) born underground pop mini-orchestra, have found themselves one of the most beloved acts in today's vital indiepop community. Disciplined enough to keep it together most of the time, and honest enough to just let it fall apart when the moment warrants, their sound has evolved from their ukulele pop to something that now melds skiffle and pop with increasingly satisfying results. Last year was a year of change for One Happy Island, they debuted their new three-piece Shannon-Brad-Meghan line up and released a split single with Standard Fare, not to mention a four track song book EP 'Unsummer'. The band played Indietracks in 2010 and have toured all over with the likes of The Smittens, Standard Fare and Allo Darlin'. Their new album 'A Purpose of The Surface' will be out in time for Popfest!
