St. Spirit A five piece post-rock band from south London, St. Spirit follow up their debut EP release ‘Pigeon’ with the ‘Something Terrible EP’, to be released on 2/7/12 through Gift Music.
Recorded and produced by the band’s Sam Robson and mixed by British Grammy award winning Adrian Bushby, Something Terrible is a short two and a half minute piece that pays tribute to bands like My Bloody Valentine and Brand New. An intricate piece, with delicate harmonies intertwining around dark lyrics and suspended piano chords apposed by distorted guitars and a driving rhythm section throughout, Something Terrible is concentrated and precise but bold and awash with noise.
After an intense period of writing and rehearsal, the band are performing their new set list at various venues around London, and have been confirmed for Brighton's Great Escape Festival during May and at Bestival this September.
