Southern Soul Bandits takes its cues from a wide variety of sources; artists such as Otis Redding and Bill Withers are obvious heroes, but more so the whole spirit and outlook surrounding such legendary labels as Atlantic, Motown and in particular, the driving grooves, rawness and pure passion of the Stax label.
