Jenocide
Jenocide is electro/dreampop/once-described-as-chinese-lounge-pop/solo artist from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Past releases e.g. Machines to Make us Wet, were based on queercore influences like Peaches and Le Tigre, but now she draw influences from artists such as Fan Death, Neon Indian and Chromeo and darker newwave artists like the cure and early Blondie. Jenocide works her way into the audience for an interactive concert experience to push and shove the crowd into a spontaneous party atmosphere often leaving a trail of glitter and lipstick marks in her wake. Known for playful live-mashups and throbbing original works, she wants to feel your heartbeat.
