Kites
Kites are the band that bridge the gap between Joy Division and Donna Summer. They exist in curious space between Manchester's Hacienda and New York's Studio 54.
And the sound? Intelligent synth laden melancholy reminiscent of northern drizzle, thematically existentialist, drawing on isolation, longing and score settling. But from broken British windows, the band are looking outward towards escapist glamour, decadent style and unashamed androgynous beauty.
