Chapa
Chapa arose from London via Brazil where, as youths, they regularly wowed adult audience members as Solo de Garagem. The financial poverty and rampant injustice of life in Rio de Janeiro affected them profoundly, eventually leading the band to its new location and lending their brittle indie-pop with something of an escapist vibrancy.
