Black Gold is the collaboration between Eric Ronick (Panic! at the Disco, Ambulance Ltd.), Than Luu (M. Ward, Rachel Yamagata, shushshush), who are rounded out live by bassist Kerry Wayne James (Oslo and the UK’s own Alistair Paxton (The Metronomes, Stapleton) on guitar. Black Gold formed at the beginning of 2006 while Eric and Than were on tour with Ambulance Ltd. and the Killers. After touring, they immediately set up at Thinman Studios in Brooklyn and began writing and recording. Their debut album, Rush, is available now and the latest singe “Shine” is out 8 November. The band have toured with such diverse acts as The Pixies, Neko Case, Scissor Sisters, Rooney and many more.
