5 Cent Theatre
5 Cent Theatre is a North London band, usually found knocking around Kentish Town (North London) where they live, write, record, eat and drink. Formed at the beginning of 2009, all of the members of 5CT had the same ideas and a vision to write music on a filmic, image-driven level. Live, their music mixes girl boy harmonies, strings, glockenspiel riffs, bass riffs and cello bows. Their sound is hard to categorize ranging from russian folk to alternative indie and from soundscape shoegazing to summer pop. Tom Evans' voice ties everything neatly together though with a tone that is honest and compelling. All in all it's a pretty dramatic combination.
